Mid-Valve Spreadsheet

The ReStackor_midvalve.xls spreadsheet combines the shocks base and mid-valve damping force to determine the overall compression damping force and cavitation limits of the shock. Inputs from the Plots, BVc and MVc tabs of the spreadsheet are used.

Mid-Valve calculation process:

Enter the shocks oil viscosity, ICS or gas bladder configuration in the boxes on the Plots tab
Enter the shocks base valve geometry and shim stack configuration on the BVc tab
- Hit the run and load_output buttons
Enter the shocks mid-valve geometry and shim stack configuration on the MVc tab
- Hit the run and load_output buttons
Go to the Plots tab and hit the mv_Analysis and Load_Output buttons. The combined compression damping force of the shocks base and mid-valves are shown on the plots
Enter the shocks mid-valve rebound valve port geometry and shim stack configuration on the MVr tab
- Hit the run and load_output buttons to get the shocks rebound force
